Phoenix Motorcars Exhibits at Low Carbon Fuels 2008
ONTARIO, Calif. – April 17, 2008 – Phoenix Motorcars, a California-based electric vehicle manufacturer, recently participated at the Low Carbon Fuels 2008, a two-day event in Sacramento featuring the latest in alternative fuel technologies. Phoenix Motorcars displayed its zero-emission sport utility truck (SUT) and participated in the "Ride and Drive" activity.
"This summit was an opportunity to meet with decision makers to discuss our electric vehicle's capabilities in effectively reducing operational costs while alleviating damaging emissions," said Bryon Bliss, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Phoenix Motorcars.
Officials from the California State Senate, California Air Resource Board (CARB), California Energy Commission (CEC) and Western Governors Association took time to personally drive the Phoenix SUT. Fleet decision makers continue to identify the Phoenix SUT and SUV as a viable solution to fleet vehicle needs.
"Western Governors recently issued a report on ways we can hasten the development of technologies and vehicles that run on alternative fuels, and the Phoenix SUT is a great example of how to harness alternative fuel technology," said Pam Inmann, Executive Director of Western Governors Association who enjoyed driving in a Phoenix SUT during Low Carbon Fuels 2008.
Phoenix's advanced battery-electric, zero-emission Sports Utility Truck can travel at freeway speeds while carrying four passengers and a full payload. Having a driving range of over 100 miles, it is equipped with a non-toxic, revolutionary lithium-titinate battery, which can be recharged in less than ten minutes and has a battery pack with a life of greater than 250,000 miles.
