Phoenix Motorcars had the pleasure of displaying ZEUS earlier this month at CALSTART’s 6^th Annual Symposium. The symposium was co-located with Energy Storage North America (ESNA) expo at the Pasadena Convention Center in California.

ESNA is known as North Americas largest gathering of technology, policy and industry leaders of energy storage with combined interests in energy and transportation.  The combined event brought approximately 2,000 attendees from over 800 organizations and more than 30 countries.

“The global grid transformation is rapidly accelerating, thanks in large part to the game-changing impact of energy storage,” said Janice Lin, ESNA Conference Chair. “This year we welcomed colleagues and added conference content from the transportation sector, which is experiencing an electrification transition of its own. Together we shared insights and opportunities across the value chain, creating a vibrant marketplace for attendees.” It was a unique opportunity where developers, utility executives, fleet managers, auto manufacturers and suppliers, and policy makers to learn, network and exchange ideas.

For three days the event featured a bustling, sold-out expo floor, with 95 exhibitors, 28 panel sessions, six workshops, eight sold-out site tours, a start-up innovation showcase and a zero-emission vehicle display.

The plaza in front of the convention center was a showroom for zero emission vehicles that are currently eligible for the California Air Resources Board’ Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project  (HVIP). Shown above, Phoenix Motorcars’ ZEUS (Zero Emission Utility Shuttle) was on display among other medium and heavy duty zero emission vehicles. HVIP is an incentive program that accelerates the purchase of cleaner, more efficient trucks and buses in California.

The 2019 Energy Storage North America /CALSTART Conference and Exhibition is scheduled for Nov. 5-7 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, Ca.
